Events at Farm Club

In the off-season, when the clouds roll in and the garden goes to sleep we get to plan and host small workshops, author talks, beer gatherings and special collaboration dinners. Keep an eye on this tab for our ever changing lineup of get-togethers. It’s always sunny at Farm Club. And even when it isn’t, we like to have fun.

Winter Solstice Celebration

“For all intents and purposes it’s Winter. It dawns late and evenings early giving us the pallor of a turnip.” from the Loma Farm Congress of Snow, Issue 6, Season 2.5

But alas, it is time to celebrate the Winter Solstice and the slow return of longer days!

Let’s celebrate outdoors with roasted chestnuts, hot cider, mulled wine, and multiple fires to keep you toasty & warm.

Summer Music: Abigail Lapell

There’s a party in the garden! Monday night the kitchen is closed and we’ve decided to stir up some fun out on the lawn. Spread out a blanket or snag a seat for an evening of live music outdoors with Canadian songwriter Abigail Lapell. Cash bar. Kitchen Closed. Market snacks available. $15/person. Limited tickets available. *In case of inclement weather, show will be moved indoors.

About Abigail: Toronto songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Abigail Lapell returns with Anniversary, an evocative collection of original love songs. Produced with Great Lake Swimmers’ Tony Dekker, the album was recorded at 200-year-old St Mark’s Church in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Dekker helped shape the sessions’ spooky, resonant sound and also lent his voice to a couple of spellbinding duets.

“A disc of pure, impalpable beauty, weightless notes and melodies that pierce our hearts…. And the young woman, prey to a vagueness in the soul that she sublimates in a handful of magical songs, to offer us a twilight album, somewhere between Gillian Welch and Laura Veir.” – Rolling Stone
